Come back! Please? :)CELEBRATION

Come back, all my beloveds, to this site....? .....perhaps not so much for posting photos, as so many of us now have our very own personal sites for that, but to keep ourselves conversing together around the proverbial homey fireplace in the old kitchen, not leaving any of us out.....? :)

I'M COUNTING :)CELEBRATION

Papa and Linda, Michael and Josh; Joseph and his little family; Rebecca and hers; Elizabeth, Adam, Teddy, Heidi, and Zachary..........the ones God has given me the privilege of praying for and about, unceasingly, day and night..........an extreme blessing of fullness in my life.

And more blessings continue to be poured out on me, besides all that:

- I am thanking God for His nudging of Zachary to show me so clearly, how to make paragraphs and spaces-between-paragraphs, here. :)

- And for our 12-year-old van getting "re-called" by Ford! :) It sure made a nice outing for me with Adam this morning. :)

- And for that rat I found swimming in our toilet yesterday morning after those heavy rains.....all these years I'd been reading with horror of other people finding such, in THEIR toilets, and wondering how I'd ever be able to give thanks to God if it ever happened to me.......but the blessing was that it made for such a wonderful loving encounter with my rescuer, my youngest sister Angela. :)

- And, giving thanks to God for letting Teddy open the door for us to go to Blooming Prairie later this month.....oh, how we need sugar and raisins, and stuff. :)

- And, of course, for that heat this past weekend that left no oxygen in the air for me to breathe -for it caused me to get "kidnapped" to go live for those several days with my two eldest children out in the cooler "countryside", with blessed A.C. as icing on the cake. :)

- And.....and.....and -well, it can be expressed thus: Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. -Psalm 40:5 :)

:)CELEBRATION

Dear family, :)
"Just" wanted you all to know how very nice it was to me to have my birthday celebrated at Joseph and Kristine's house..... :) The tale of the balloon-blowing-up hour is a good companion to have, in my alone times....I am grateful for that. :) I was so amazed to see streamers, and a cake, too! (with 58 candles that didn't burn up the top of the cake -- so relieved to know that I truly do have the two years left until that time! :) To get presents, real, wrapped presents, gave my whole inner being the contented sigh of completion -- a real birthday! :) Kristine, you truly know how to make whole, the pieces of my heart, with your composition in your birthday card; I am grateful for that as well as the rest of the effort you put into making me welcome during our stay there. One of the best presents came the next morning -- seeing my three sons loving each other and God enough to be able to sing so good together! :)
Please let Renaya know that I am looking forward so much, to being with her, as well as her whole family, again when me and Adam and maybe Teddy, come in two weeks.........and to giving her a kiss and swinging her around in a dance of joy in the midst of your living room. :)
love, Grand maMA Mary XO to all

(P.S. -- that bed of cushions, covered with that nice, substantial sheet and a blanket, was the most comfortable bed! What a restful night! :)

Our Christmas Wish to You
We have a list of folks we know, all written in a book.
And every year at Christmas time we go and take a look.
And that is when we realize that these names are a part
Not of the book they’re written in, but of our very heart.
For each name stands for someone, who has crossed our past sometime,
And in that meeting they’ve become the “rhythm of the rhyme”.
And while it sounds fantastic, for us to make this claim,
We really feel we are composed of each remembered name.

And while you may not be aware of any special link,
Just meeting you has shaped our lives, more than you can think.
For once you’ve met somebody, the years cannot erase
The memory of a pleasant word, or of a friendly face.

So, never think our Christmas card is just a mere routine,
Of names upon a Christmas list, forgotten in between!
For when we send a Christmas card that is addressed to you,
It’s because you’re on the list of folks that we’re indebted to.

For you’re a part of the total of the many folks we’ve met,
And you happen to be one of those we prefer not to forget!
And whether we have known you for many years, or just a few,
In some way you have had a part in shaping things we do.
For every year when Christmas comes, we realize anew
The biggest gift that life can give, is meeting folks like you.

Don and Nellie
